Council's Volunteer of the Year Recognition

Each of the snowsports clubs that belong to the Far West Ski Association are a vibrant community of people who share a passion for year-round adventures—and for having a great time together. Whether they’re heading to nearby slopes, traveling across the globe, or participating in fun activities near home, it’s always a chance to gather, laugh, and make memories. And, along the way, they get together to support charities and give back to their communities.

All of this doesn’t just happen on its own—it’s made possible by the amazing volunteers in our clubs who organize, plan, and keep everything running smoothly. The Far West Ski Association Councils’ Volunteer of the Year Recognition Program is our way of saying a big “thank you” and shining a light on the people who make our clubs so special. We truly appreciate the clubs and councils who continue to support this program year after year, and the volunteers whose efforts inspire pride and make our community strong.

We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to Big White Ski Resort for their incredible support. Through 25 years of generous sponsorship—providing five days of winter fun—they helped this program grow and thrive, and we’re so grateful for their partnership.

We are proud to introduce our exceptional honorees for 2026:
